زندانی پاکستانی در مرکز محاصره تگزاس

اسلام آباد: عافیه سیدیکی، یک زندانی پاکستانی در ایالات متحده که گروگان های تگزاس این هفته درخواست آزادی او را داشتند، به دلیل تلاش برای کشتن سربازان آمریکایی در حال گذراندن حبس 86 ساله خود است.

چهار نفر روز یکشنبه پس از بیش از 10 ساعت مخالفت در کنیسه ای در ایالات متحده بدون هیچ آسیبی آزاد شدند. رباینده مظنون آنها کشته شده است.

رسانه ها به نقل از یک مقام آمریکایی مطلع از این موضوع گزارش دادند که این مرد خواستار آزادی سیدیکی 49 ساله شده است.

وکیل او به سی ان ان گفت که او "مطمقاً" در گروگانگیری دخالت نداشت و اقدامات این مرد را محکوم کرد.

او که دانشمند پاکستانی تحصیل کرده در ایالات متحده است، در سال 2010 به دلیل حمله به نیروهای آمریکایی در افغانستان زندانی شد.

او اولین زن مظنون به ارتباط با القاعده در ایالات متحده بود، اما هرگز محکوم نشد.

سیدیکی در سن 18 سالگی برای تحصیل در دانشگاه معتبر MIT در بوستون به ایالات متحده، جایی که برادرش زندگی می کند، رفت و بعداً دکترای علوم اعصاب را از دانشگاه برندیس دریافت کرد.

اما پس از حملات تروریستی 11 سپتامبر 2001، او برای کمک های مالی سازمان های اسلامی در رادار FBI ظاهر شد و با خرید عینک های دید در شب و 10000 دلار کتاب جنگ مرتبط بود.

ایالات متحده مظنون بود که او در راه بازگشت به پاکستان از آمریکا به القاعده پیوسته و در آنجا با خانواده خالد شیخ محمد، معمار حملات 11 سپتامبر ازدواج کرد.

او در حدود سال 2003 به همراه سه فرزندش در کراچی ناپدید شد.

پنج سال بعد، او در همسایه جنگ زده پاکستان در افغانستان ظاهر شد، جایی که توسط نیروهای محلی در استان ناآرام جنوب شرقی غزنی دستگیر شد.

'مرگ بر آمريكا'

او در جریان بازجویی خود توسط نیروهای آمریکایی، در حالی که فریاد می‌زد مرگ بر آمریکا و می‌خواهم آمریکایی‌ها را بکشم، تفنگی را برداشت و تیراندازی کرد.

سربازان سالم فرار کردند، اما او مجروح شد.

حبس او باعث خشم در کشورش شده است و حامیان ادعا می کنند که او قربانی یک توطئه مخفی پاکستانی-آمریکایی بوده است.

پس از محکومیت او، القاعده شماره دو در آن زمان از مسلمانان خواست تا از این تصمیم "انتقام" بگیرند.

آزادی او قبلاً در مرکز خواسته های افراط گرایان بوده است، از جمله در جریان دو بحران گروگان گیری در پاکستان و همچنین دستگیری جیمز فولی، روزنامه نگار آمریکایی که توسط داعش در سال 2014 سر بریده شد.

مایکل کوگلمن، تحلیلگر آسیای جنوبی در توییتی نوشت: سیدیکی در ایالات متحده چندان شناخته شده نیست، اما او نام بزرگی در پاکستان است - بسیاری او را قربانی بی گناه می دانند.

او در مقاله قبلی، آن را عاملی معروف در میان شبه‌نظامیان اسلام‌گرا توصیف کرد و گفت که این امر به عنوان «نماد قدرتمندی از رفتار بد آمریکایی‌ها با مسلمانان بی‌گناه در مبارزات جهانی علیه تروریسم» دیده می‌شود.

این موضوع همچنان موضوع تنش های طولانی مدت بین پاکستان و ایالات متحده است.

در طول مبارزات انتخاباتی خود، عمران خان، نخست وزیر پاکستان، منتقد صریح اقدامات ایالات متحده در جنگ با تروریسم، قول داد که او را آزاد کند. او پیشنهاد داد شکیل افریدی را که به دلیل نقشش در کمک به آمریکایی‌ها در تعقیب بنیانگذار القاعده اسامه بن لادن در پاکستان در یک زندان پاکستان به سر می‌برد، آزاد کند.
