New roof installation to be donated to Air Force veteran in Coon Rapids

Coon Rapids veteran Stephanie Vanderbijl will be receiving a new roof installation as part of an effort to support veterans on Wednesday.

Vanderbijl is a former member of the U.S. Air Force, and was selected for a roof replacement through the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, overseen by the Owens Corning Foundation.

The donation comes through a partnership between Purple Heart Homes and Advantage Construction Inc.

The project began in 2016 as a way to thank U.S. veterans and their families around the country. More than 200 veterans have received new roof installations since.
